LinkedIn: Is the end nigh for Milton Friedman?
Charles Wookey, CEO, A Blueprint for Better Business

181 CEOs have signed the Business Roundtable Statement on the Purpose of a Corporation committing to lead their companies for the benefit of all stakeholders – customers, employees, suppliers, communities and shareholders.
This commitment by US Business leaders is I think a very significant milestone, and one of the most important since Blueprint was established. It is heartening that so many leading businesses on both sides of the Atlantic have recognised the need to escape the grip of a narrow and distorted view of business success. But, is what they do next that matters more than ever – what changes when a business becomes purpose-led.
There is much interesting commentary on it as you may have seen – an FT editorial, this article in Fortune, and there are pieces also in the New York Times and Washington Post.
I have now published my own comment piece on LinkedIn and referenced it on Twitter – you can read the article here: https://www.linkedin.com/pulse/end-nigh-milton-friedman-charles-wookey/
