Blueprint Coaches & Consultants Meeting – Introducing PAS808

On 10 February 2023, we convened a meeting to socialise PAS 808. We invited Andy Brown, Head of Sustainability at Anglian Water, who was on the steering group that developed the PAS, to talk about how they seek to use it at Anglian Water and the practitioners group he has set up to test it.

The meeting included discussions on the PAS, and the comments were fed back to the PAS steering group.

About the PAS:

PAS 808 was developed in 2022 by a steering group of experts convened by BSI and facilitated by Prof Victoria Hurth. The group included Blueprint, ReGenerate, Future Fit, CISL, BITC, B Lab UK, and the CMI, as well as representatives from several businesses, including KPMG, Anglian Water, JLL and the John Lewis Partnership.

Its purpose is to provide guidance on what purpose is, how a purpose-driven organization (PDO) approaches decisions, and how it acts. It outlines the worldviews, principles and the associated behaviours and activities of a PDO and establishes common terms and definitions related to purpose.
