Gillian Tett (Deputy Editor of the Financial Times) chaired a panel at Davos this morning looking at the results of the 2014 Edelman Trust Barometer. Richard Edelman presented the key findings of the survey and set out some ideas of what this means for major corporates. Gillian Tett then moderated a discussion on the findings and their implications.
As well as Richard Edelman, the panel was made up of Paul Polman CEO, Unilever, Rui Chenggang, director and anchor, China Central Television (CCTV), Doug Peterson, president and CEO, McGraw Hill Financial, Subi Rangan, professor of strategy and management, INSEAD and Jasmine Whitbread, CEO, Save the Children International.
The panel also discussed the Blueprint for Better Business initiative and the ‘Five Principles of a Purpose Driven Business’
