In a purpose-led company the Board members are the “trustees” of the company’s purpose, ensuring that decisions serve to pursue its purpose and thereby deliver long term sustainable performance.

This course discusses what this means in practice including:

  • What we mean by purpose-led governance
  • The changing understanding of the role of the corporate Board
  • Accountability and dialogue
  • Assessing progress

NB: This course includes a number of references to large listed companies and the regulation relevant to these companies in the UK or US – but the general principles discussed are applicable to the governance of purpose-led organisations of all sizes.
