The culture of any business is influenced by a range of external and internal influences including current social norms and the legal and regulatory context in which the business finds itself, its ownership and governance structure, the size, scale and sector the business is in and its unique character and history.

That being said, there are common essential cultural elements to any purpose-led business. What are they? And what are the key questions a business could have in mind in cultivating and sustaining them?

This course explores:

  • various elements that influence culture and how they can help or hinder the creation of a purpose-led culture
  • considerations to help organisations to think about how to cultivate a purpose-led culture.

Time commitment:

30 – 35 minutes to read

Additional time will be needed for the exercises, to reflect on the questions at the end and to explore the additional content in the Resources section.
